"Gala of Emotion"

A wholly abstract work is a nonrepresentational image that is its own subject, without reference to anything else. Abstract canvases range from expressionistic "action painting" to linear, more logical works that represent abstract ideas distilled to their formal essence.

It is this tendency to incorporate ideas that has made "abstract" the common description for all that is experimental or conceptual. Current trends actually range over any combination of abstract and representational imagery in order to communicate content. That content may be political, psychological, literary or poetic, and may stretch the definition of "painting" to the limit. And that's just fine. To look at it without prejudice is to understand and transcend the present moment.

Eli's Online Gallery proudly introduces an exquisite line of abstract originals, "Gala of Emotion".
